UN Principles for Responsible Investment

LAPFF is a signatory to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment. The UN PRI provide a framework for the consideration and integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues in investment decision-making. The Principles are voluntary and aspirational rather then prescriptive, and provide a menu of possible actions. The Forum believes that the Principles are closely aligned with the Forum's mission statement and engagement strategy. LAPFF has become a signatory to the Principles as a professional service partner in order to further encourage the development of responsible investment strategies by institutional investors around the globe. The Forum is providing a range of services to its members:

  • Research on corporate governance and CSR issues raised by member funds
  • Analysis and advice on proxy agendas at selected UK and global company meetings
  • Engagement with companies and regulators on issues of concern ranging from shareholder rights to climate change
  • Guidance for member funds in the form of LAPFF Trustee Guides, as well commentary and assessments of market and investor initiatives
  • The provision of valuable training and educational material through its Annual Conference and other events.
