New chair, new members
Cllr Greenwood is leader of the Labour group on Bradford City Council, chair of the pensions committee of West Yorkshire Pension Fund and a member of the Local Government Pensions Committee. He is also a former county councillor.

Ian takes over as chair at an exciting time for the Forum, which is growing rapidly. LAPFF has just announced two new members – the London boroughs of Haringey and Waltham Forest – taking total membership to 46 funds. The Forum now represents almost half of all the funds in the Local Government Pension Scheme and already represents well over half of total LGPS assets under management.

The work programme for 2008 is equally busy, with the Forum looking to develop a global engagement strategy which will include extending the scope of current engagement on remuneration and climate change issues. In addition LAPFF is increasingly working with members to develop responses to high-profile issues such as human rights abuses in Darfur.
